A small Sri Lankan team building tax software for people who’d rather file it themselves.
Founded in Sri Lanka by a handful of engineers and advised by a certified business accountant. We’re building the tool we wished existed when we tried to file our own returns.

Make Sri Lankan tax understandable, accurate, and finished in an evening.
Sri Lanka rewrote its income tax rules in 2023 and amended them again in 2025. Slabs moved. Reliefs changed. The personal relief went up to Rs 1,800,000. The return itself is a main form plus 10 schedules, each with its own cages to fill.
Most people pay an accountant Rs 25,000–60,000 to get through it, or pay too much because nobody told them about a relief that applied. TaxWise exists to close that gap: for the salaried professional, the freelancer and the doctor who wants to understand their own return.
Built by people who tried to file their own.
Sri Lanka has no shortage of tax advisors. What it didn’t have was a tool you could open on a Sunday afternoon, pour a year of income into, and have the right return come out the other end.
Most tax software abroad starts with the form. TaxWise starts with your year: income as it comes in, costs as they happen. By filing day, your schedules are mostly written.
We’re a small team of Sri Lankan developers who got tired of doing this in spreadsheets, advised by a certified business accountant. So we built the thing we wanted to use.
We didn’t set out to build a tax company. We set out to file our own taxes without losing a Saturday.

Four rules we don’t bend.
Show the math, every time.
Every figure in a TaxWise return links back to its source: the cage it lands in, the relief that applied, the schedule line that produced it. No black boxes.
Default to the taxpayer’s side.
When two readings of the law are both defensible, we apply the one that produces less tax, and we show you both. You can switch.
Sri Lankan-first, not Sri Lankan-also.
Built for LKR, the IRD, Y/A cycles, APIT, WHT and the 2025 amendments. Not repackaged US or Indian tax software.
No shortcuts on trust.
We don’t cut corners on encryption, audit logs, or replying to you during filing season. Trust compounds; shortcuts don’t.
Four builders. One return form.
A founder and three founding developers, all based in Sri Lanka.
Dasun Edirisinghe
Started TaxWise because there were plenty of accountants but no tool he could open on a Sunday.
Prishan Maduka
Builds the parts of TaxWise you actually click.
Kavindu Jayasundara
Owns the reconciliation engine that turns a year of receipts into a return.
Nuwan Dissanayaka
Keeps the IRD form mapping honest: every cage points back to its source.
The law, checked by someone who reads it.
TaxWise is built by engineers, but every rate, relief and cage is checked against the Act by a qualified practitioner.
